Ad Infinitum is a stunning back piece that can be crafted using a combination of the Mystic Forge, normal crafting, achievement completion, and more. This guide will go through the process step-by-step for you! You need to collect four items in total: Unbound, the Gift of Fortune, the Gift of Infinity, and the Gift of Ascension.

Component 1: Unbound

Guild Wars 2: How To Get Ad Infinitum (1)

To craft Unbound, you need to complete three achievements related to Ad Infinitum, then craft the item.

Ad Infinitum I: Finite Result

To unlock the first achievement, Ad Infinitum I: Finite Result, go to the Mistlock Observatory and talk to the asura NPC, Kelvei. She gives you the item 'Theory of the Finite Result', which you can double-click on in your inventory to unlock the achievement.

Completing it means you'll need to collect a bunch of items:

Jade Kraken Timed Mote	Enter the Solid Ocean Fractal at level 20 and defeat the Jade Maw in less than five minutes.
Ascalonian Fractal Field Research Paper	Go to the Urban Battleground Fractal and buy from the Urban Battlegrounds Field Researcher for one Fractal Journal.
Burning Frozen Core	Acquire a Gigantic Ice Elemental Core by completing the meta event 'The Frozen Maw.' Enter and complete the Volcanic Fractal (at any level) and then interact with the Boiling Hot Magma while the Gigantic Ice Elemental Core is in your inventory.
Charged Clump Of Swamp Moss	Acquire a Clump of Swamp Moss by killing the Mossman or the Bloomhunger during the Swampland Fractal. With the Clump of Swamp Moss in your inventory, go to the Opticalium (a POI in Metrica Province) and interact with it.
Prototype Fractal Capacitor	Go to the Mistlock Observatory and buy from BUY-4373 for 1,350 Fractal Relics and 21 Silver and 12 Copper.
Unstable Magically Charged Infusion Sample	Acquire a +4 Agony Infusion (can be crafted by a level 100 Artificer) and take it to the Mist Geyser inside the Swampland Fractal.
Aetherblade Recruitment Form	Go to the Captain Mai Trin Boss Fractal and buy from the Aetherblade Quartermaster for one Ball of Dark Energy.

Ad Infinitum II: Upper Bound

To start the second achievement, return to Kelvei after completing the first achievement; she'll give you the Theory of the Upper Bound, which starts it.

Pollenated Ice Elemental Core	Acquire an Ice Elemental Core by killing Lornarr Dragonseeker during the Snowblind Fractal. With the Ice Elemental Core in your inventory, go to the Silverwastes and get to the meta event 'The Breach.' Your reward for the third achievement will be the recipe for the ascended back, Unbound. You need to be a level 500 Armorsmith, Leatherworker, Tailor, Weaponsmith, Huntsman, or Artificer to craft it. The ingredients are:
