Abbeville, South Carolina Betty Jo Rosser Horton 2024 Betty Jo Rosser Horton, 83, of Abbeville, wife of the late Manley Jennings Horton Sr., died Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Self Regional Health Care in Greenwood. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Carroll Rosser and Lillie Gertrude Shiflet Rosser. Betty Jo, affectionately known as 'Nanny', was a member of the Congregational Holiness Church and a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She passed away with friends and family by her side at Saluda Nursing Center. Born on April 20th, 1932, Louella was the daughter of the late Henry Cromer Sr and Eliza Riley Cromer. She was a graduate of Hollywood High School. She was also a member of the Hollywood High School State Championship Basketball teams for the years of 1947, 1948 and 1949. Arthur Young 2024 Arthur Young, 98, of Abbeville SC, died Wednesday August 21, 2024 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. He was born May 20, 1926, the son of the late Clifton W. and Henrietta Martin Young. A graduate of Abbeville High School and Columbia Commercial College, Mr. Young honorably served his country in the United States Army and European Theater during WWII. Employed with the US Postal Service, he retired after years of dedicated service.
