How long should I expect Curbside Pickup to take, once I've arrived at the store? The speed of your item delivery at curbside depends on several factors including when you checked in, how many items you ordered, their size and weight, their popularity, traffic at the store before you arrived, and staffing at the store.

Frozen and perishable items such as produce are stored at the correct temperature until you pick up your order. If you don't pick up the order by the end of the day, the store cancels your order the next day. This releases the authorization hold on your payment method.

Members use their phones to scan items as they shop and pay for them within the app, and then show their digital receipt to an associate on their way out the door—skipping the checkout line entirely.

Curbside pickup is faster than in-store shopping, too, because customers don't need to navigate store aisles, wait in line to check out, or fiddle with an awkward self-checkout. Also, inventory tracking is made easier with curbside pickup.

Shoppers do accept tips! If you're happy with the service you've received, we encourage you to tip your shopper as well as rate them.

Walmart's Collect Pickup Program was announced in early July of 2022 and put into place a month later on August 1st, and the fees were sent out a month after that on September 1st. The program was designed to hand off Walmart's losses due to major shifts in the transportation industry to Collect suppliers.

Walmart typically holds online orders for a limited time, and if you fail to pick them up within that period, they may automatically cancel your order. Your payment will be refunded, and the items will be returned to the inventory.
